Shopping with a big belly!!

During our weekly shopping I noticed that Karin really gained some extra weight lately. Today she visited the doctor for the monthly check and she was told that she gained another 2 kgs.
So just look at the picture and see for yourself what a big belly my lovely wife has now!!

Gotcha!!!!

Tonight I caught Karin on the act when she couldn't resist having chocolate icecream!! I guess the pregnancy is a good excuse for her to have a little bit more extra than normal!!

Test Flight A6-EMF

Today I had a testflight of the A6-EMF 777-200. During the testflight we were told by Air Traffic Control to hold just off the coast of Dubai. With my little camera I tried to make a few pictures of Palm Jumeirah. Hope you like the result!

Driving in Dubai

Hi everybody,
For all of you who are living in Dubai I want to warn you that since a few weeks my wife Karin has finally managed to obtain her UAE drivers license.
So, when you are planning to go out for a drive, you better watch out! Karin has been driving around in my big Toyota Landcruiser Prado and driving around in this big car she knows no mercy!!

To give you an idea what the size is of the Prado look at the picture and bear in mind that Karin is standing on the side pavement!! The car next to the Prado is a BMW 5-series!!

So, all of you, be warned for the white Prado with the mad driver!

Excuses to everybody

Hi everbody!

First of all our apologizes to everybody with whom we haven't had any contact since we moved to Dubai. The first few months have been such a busy period in which we had to start our whole life over again from scratch!
But since a few weeks we have been able to set up an internet ADSL connection at home and now we finally can get in touch with the rest of the world!

I moved to Dubai beginning of june this year and by the end of juli Karin finally joined me. We have had some difficulties in getting suitable company accomodation but in the end we did manage to get a very nice villa.
My job has been very busy from the beginning but I still like it. There hasn't been a day that I got bored (which is very important!).
Karin, however, has been unemployed since she came here. But that was mainly caused by the pregnancy. No one will hire somebody during the pregnancy. So hopefully after "Junior" is born in januari next year she can find a job.

Because it is too hard for us to write emails to you all personally we decided to set up this blogspot in order to have to write everything only once and still inform you all about our experiences.

I hope this blogspot website will be useful to all of you and if you wish you can still write to us.
