Good news!!
First of all I would like to say sorry for not updating our blogspot for almost a month. Since the last update on 9 december 2006 it has been a very busy time in the house of Lint.
First Karin was admitted again in the hospital for having a high bloodpressure. That time she only had to stay for 1 day in the hospital.
But on 26 december she was admitted again (3rd time!!) in the hospital for the bloodpressure. This time it was more serious and the doctor decided to bring down the bloodpressure and get the baby straight away. Karin was admitted in the hospital around 13.00 pm. Around 17.00 the bloodpressure was low enough to start the delivery of the baby. Medications were admitted and contractions started. Me, my dad and mum stayed in the hospital the whole night and my mum was allowed to stay with Karin the whole time. The next day 27 december around 10.00 am still nothing had happened apart from the contractions. I decided to take my parents home and get a shower en freshen up a bit after a night without any sleep. We came back around noon and heard that Karin's water had broken around 11.00 am and contractions were intensifying. My mum asked the doctor if it would be possible for me to stay with Karin during the delivery and it was allowed.
At 17.30 pm I was called in the delivery room because it could be any moment the baby would be born.
But at 22.45 pm the doctor decided to go for a Caesarean section. The baby got stuck and was in stress and Karin was too tired to go on.
At 22.59 pm 27 december 2006 Elissa Maria Rosaline Lint was born in Al Wasl Hospital Dubai.
She is 3,1 kgs and 47 cm. She looks adorable but can also be very grumpy. Probably just like her mother!!
Also the new grantparents are very happy to have Elissa.
But see for your self. Isn't she lovely?
I want to that everybody for all the great emails, sms and e-cards. They show us how much you all care about us.
I thank God for giving me such a great gift! Everytime I see Elissa and hold her in my arms I know what a great God we have.
